Music as literature

What I understood was that Paul was trying to make his music relevant. I think he went back to South Africa to look for talent that isn’t in USA and make something out of that unique talent. I like to say he made music starting from scratch. He is a genius. He really made music that were pure and creative music.
I think music is literature. There are many ways of literature. Poem, rap, song, an opera, and a symphony are examples of literature. They’re different but they have a lot of similarities. They somehow connect to literature. I might be wrong but that’s what I think. Literature is something that can be expressed in many ways.
